Bottomless but Hairy

So, here's my babe-with-no-name sporting some hair and a dress/shirt. I'm trying to decide whether to sew or knit pants, or maybe a skirt or bloomers for her. Anyway you slice it, she's a little obscene with no bottoms. I think what was supposed to be a dress makes a cute hippie shirt, if I could only find good material to make flared jeans.

I sewed the hair on and am moderately pleased. I think I'm going to try a different way of doing hair on the next one.

Nice job. But I believe that girl is just a bit starkers under the edge of her dress. I know, you just couldn't wait to show her to the world, but geez, make that girl some "unders", will ya?
I'm nearly done with my girls head, can't wait to do her hair. I've just had a brainwave for how I want to do it. I hope it turns out like I see it in my head. ALso, I'm dying to make her a cowboy hat! First time I show my girl, she may just be in her cowboy hat and cow pants. I love those cow pants.

I also made that dress and found it a little short, so I picked up a bunch of stitches on double pointed needles at the bottom and then knitted in the round about an inch of some furry yarn. I will post a picture when I figure out how to do that!

What kind of gal looks under a doll's dress? :) LOL!

I think I may just make another dress and save that one for a smaller doll. But this time, when I make the dress I'm doubling the amount (at least) of rows for the skirt.

Your Babe looks awesome! I really like the way you did her hair. How'd you do it? It looks very natural. Her dress is adorale and I bet you'll find something perfect for her bottom half. Still waiting to start my Babe....finishing up a baby bunting that must be done by Friday! Good luck and keep posting more pics!

Thanks yogagardengirl! All I did for the hair was sew a row of yarn fringe directly across the top of her head and then another row a little further down the back of the head.

When I got a part that I liked I tacked it on the side of her head.

Love your Babe!

You're quite right about the dress - would be fabulous as a top. Remember the 80s? (well, I do, but I may be the oldster here)

Maybe some leggings? Knit like the legs and the start of the torso?

Capri pants, maybe, cuz they'd work up faster...
