Homespun Hair

This is how I added hair to my babe. I measured and cut a piece of felt and then cut the yarn as long as I needed. I used a sewing machine and stitched the yarn onto the felt strip, then I hand stitched the felt-side down onto my Babe.

She's still buck nekkid so I added the tiara.

I love the hair and the tiara - how do you get the Homespun to not fray at the ends?

melissa: I put a dab of fray check on the ends. There are other similar products out that might be better. I just used whatever I had available. Fray check has a scent to it that might not appeal to everyone and it is not flexible when dry.

Your Babe is great and the homespun hair is cool...creative idea! Where'd you get that tiara? I love it! May I steal your idea when I make my Babe? Still waiting to start mine....finishing up another project first. Keep posting pics!

Thanks yogagardengirl -- The tiara was from a party gift store where they sell beanie babies...I actually had to buy it off of the display of the Princess Diana beanie bear. I'd love for you to use any ideas posted, I'm excited to see everyone's versions.
