Bad Hair Babe

Hi, please, somebody give me some advice!! My babe is finished, but I hate her hair-do! I sewed as adviced bunches of yarn together and then down her head. But it looks like a bad mohican style... was I supposed to sew from side to side instead? Any advice re hair would be greatly appreciated, as the rest of her looks nice and I want to move on to making her some groovy clothes. This is my first post and my first knitted babe, Cleo. She was knit out of baby cashmerino with cotton rope unwound for her hair. Cleo was my first non-scarf project, and she was so much fun and so easy, even for a newbie like me!!
