For Your Amusement...

Not unlike Snakes on a Plane, I give you...Babes in a Boat.

A fun acquisition for my growing collection of Babe related toys. A little park bench that rocks (literally and figuratively), just the perfect size for a Babe and a friend.

Jimmy-Boy

Here is Jimmy-Boy.

His jumper is a real work of left-overs! ;-D
I'll be back soon with my pattern to knit his hair.
The trousers are made in Tunisian crochet! They are a little bit stiff, so he's got problems sitting down!!!
;-)

more than just a pretty face?

Three months after casting on, I finally finished my first babe! I was terribly intimidated by the sewing aspect of the project, as I am a very, VERY bad seamstress, but overall I am happy with the result. I think she needs an exotic name- maybe Saskia?

Anyway, I have already cast on for a new babe, using heavier yarn and number five needles. I am hoping that a larger, heavier doll may be more appropriate for my fourteen month old daughter. Does anyone have any experience with the babes being used as actual toys? Saskia looks very sassy sitting on a shelf, but I fear she would rapidly perish if subjected to the "love" of a toddler.

I’ve already pre-ordered the new book! I can’t wait!

Finally... the results of the Hunter Green challenge

Well, Marti, I'm SO SORRY that it took me so long to finish this! But here it is... my least appealing yarn babe.
Magnolia is all about her hunter green accessories; bag, shoes, belt, headband... She's very coordinated!
