Meet Shirley

Hello knitters, I'm new here, and so is Shirley. She's been a long time coming, a lot of work to get here, but she and I are all dancing about that she's finally here. She's a Christmas present, but I assume my daughter won't be poking about this blog and spot her early. It will be difficult to wait to give her, but I'll be having fun expanding her wardrobe until then.

Shirley is made of silky wool, (65% wool, 35% silk) and was knit in the round, top-down like a toe-up sock, with her bottom kitchenered shut. She's had two faces. After the first face she was named "frankenbabe". I picked it off and tried again, and eventually Shirley arrived. Her dress, too, took more than one try, and was knit top-down. She also has a bathing suit and most of a hoodie.

For more details than you can shake a mouse at, you can visit my blog. I've had a lot of fun looking through the archives here and seeing all the fabulous knitted babes. I hope to have more babes in our family here, I need one of my own to play with!
