hair question

Hello! I realized when I started typing out this post that I don't actually have any good photos of my "finished" babe to post! Alas! But here is the best one I've got --




She has a face now, button eyes and mouth, but I haven't gotten any more recent photos. I love seeing all of the pictures you guys post here too, they give me lots of ideas!

I've got a question though ... I am working on another doll (not a babe, but still cute!) and I'd like to give her curly red hair. The best I can think of is to find a boucle yarn that has some crimp to it, but that's not exactly what I'm looking for. Have any of you ever tried to give your babe curly hair? Do you have any ideas?

In the knitted babes book, are there things that are knitted on double points?, or are they on regular needles?

Here are my three knitted babes. I have only named my first one, Claire, (the pink one). I am making many more. I make up my own patterns for clothes. I am only 13, but i enjoy making these special dolls! Oh! The baby was made by my own pattern also. It is super easy and fast!. If anyone needs a pattern please ask me. Thanks
