"BABES FOR THE BRAVE"

Hi Everyone.

Putting out a plea to see if any of you would like to donate one or two or a few babes for this program.. We are desperately in need to fulfill the requests on behalf of adolescents and teens undergoing long term inpatient cancer treatment in the hospital and we are receiving lots of request from medical staff and social services involved in these kid's care.

It seems that knitted babes help them get through it all without alot of fuss and without feeling like a wuss and I guess it's because they are so cheery and bright and outrageous that it brings a smile to every adolescent and teen who has received theirs. Word gets out among the patients and more and more requests come in.............

I have been knitting as fast as I can but yes even I caught "The Big C" and have been very busy doing surgeries and scans and mri's and many tests and such. Yesterday I completed my first of many inpatient chemotherapy treatments and got a wig, have to shave my head and yes am knitting myself a chemocap too...............and so every third week I'll go into the hospital and do what I need to do and then the next two weeks work full time and knit those babes and chemocaps and bears and count my blessings that I am here, alive and kicking and able to contribute to and administer the programs which are so important.

If you can donate a babe or two or a few please send it to me at
"BABES FOR THE BRAVE'

Your babe upon receipt will be flying off to her destination via fed exp. or express.postal planes on the special babe flight and will arrive at the hospital to be given to the patient the very next day.....................

You are making one big difference in the life of an adolescent and teen with cancer who needs a babe to cling to during this difficult period to deal with in her life.
Thank You
